Roma organizations were preparing project proposals

Twenty-nine participants from the Roma organizations (Bairska svetlina and Biosfera from Bitola, Roma progress-RRMC from Vinica, Sumnal, LIL, IDEA, Fileo, Ambrela and Romano Ilo from Skopje as well as Youth Club, HKUZZA “Romani Asvin” and Humanitarian Association of Young Roma from Stip) on 30 and 31 July 2013 in Skopje attended the Workshop for preparing project proposals, which will be submitted to different donors present in Macedonia.

“I am satisfied from this workshop because I consider that with the consultant’s support, it has been given us an opportunity for efficient work, with an aim to achieve more effective and efficient results during the preparation of our applications” said Ms. Eliza Osmanova from Roma progress-Regional Roma Mother Center from Vinica. According to her, this is a good modus for preparing an excellent applications complied with the needed form and content required by the different donors, with an aim the Roma organization’s ideas to be accepted by the donors and implemented.

The representative from the Youth Club from Stip, is satisfied of the workshop, too. “Besides the expert’s aspects in the field of preparing applications, this workshop is an excellent opportunity to get a better acquaintance between us and the activities which are implemented by our organizations. This way, better possibilities are created for our further cooperation for achieving effective results, transforming our common ideas into concrete applications”, said Mr. Hadis Arslanov from Youth Club from Stip.

At the workshop, the project ideas of the present organizations were developed into the project proposals. Also, the participants were provided with the instructions for completing the whole documentation need for applying.

This initiative was realized in the frame of the program Project Generation Facility-PGF Macedonia, financed by the Open Society Institute, Budapest, which contributes towards building the capacity of Roma in Macedonia, for their sustainable inclusion in the society. The workshop was facilitated by Valentina Chicheva from MCIC and Samet Skenderi from InSoC.
