Fifteen participants from nine Roma organizations, on 15-16 March 2012 attended the Workshop for preparing the project proposals which were submitted to the Government of Republic of Macedonia (Unit for cooperation of the Government with NGOs).
“This workshop had a significant importance for our organization”, Said Mr. Samedin Kananoski from NGO “Bairska svetlina” from Bitola, “and I hope that we will have an opportunity to get similar services again”, he added.
At the workshop, the project ideas of the present organizations were developed into the project proposals. Also, the participants were provided with the instructions for completing the whole documentation need for applying. The participants prepared 9 (nine) project proposals.
“We passed through a mutual learning and working. Our purpose was to influence towards improving of certain society appears and needs of Roma community in Macedonia. It was useful and significant for all participants in the initiative: the included organizations got a support, and MCIC and InSoC as initiators of this support, and at least, the donator itself, will get clearly developed ideas, in accordance to the identified Roma needs”, said Ms. Fatma Osmanovska from the Roma Resource Center from Skopje.
This initiative was realized in the frame of the program Project Generation Facility-PGF Macedonia, financed by the Open Society Institute, Budapest, which contributes towards building the capacity of Roma in Macedonia, for their sustainable inclusion in the society. The workshop was facilitated by Valentina Chicheva from MCIC and Samet Skenderi from InSoC.
